Puri Jagan said, “Shooting of the movie will start from 20 December 2009. I want to release Devaleelai in April 2010. I had been a good friend of Bellamkonda Suresh even before I became a director. I am happy to work in his production. This movie is inspired by the events happened in the life story of encounter specialist Daya Nayak. Gopichand will get a good name with this move.”

Gopichand said, “I had been in film industry for the past 9 years and I never got an opportunity to work with big directors. I used to take all the burden of my films because I preferred new directors. SincePuri Jagan is directing this movie, I can relax. I am doing an inspiring character that is full of energy.
